Unrefined sunflower oil (first cold pressing) and technical sunflower oil are two types of products made from sunflower seeds for various applications. Cold-pressed unrefined oil retains the natural taste, aroma of roasted seeds, dark yellow color, and maximum amount of biologically active substances: vitamin E (up to 70 mg/100 g), phospholipids, phytosterols. Uses of unrefined oil include salad dressings, preparation of cold sauces, canning, production of mayonnaise and sauces, and adding to porridge. It is not recommended for frying at high temperatures. Technical sunflower oil is a product that has not undergone food refining and is used for industrial purposes: production of varnish, paint materials, biodiesel, linoleum, soap making, and the cosmetic industry. Deliveries are made in bulk in tank trucks, flexitanks, and rail tank cars. Volumes start from 20 tons.
