Tungsten concentrate is an enriched ore containing tungsten minerals (scheelite CaWO₄ or wolframite (Fe,Mn)WO₄). WO₃ content 55–72%. Tungsten is a strategic metal with the highest melting point (3422°C). Applications: production of cemented carbides (for cutting tools, drill bits — 60% of consumption), heat-resistant alloys (aerospace), tungsten filaments (lamps), heavy alloys (armor-piercing projectiles, radiation shielding).
