Larch sawlogs are round timber from Siberian larch (Larix sibirica) with a diameter of 14–40 cm and a length of 4–6 m. Larch roundwood is the most valuable raw material for producing lumber with increased biostability and strength. Export is restricted. Harvesting area: Krasnoyarsk Krai, Irkutsk Oblast, Transbaikal. Application: sawing into lumber at sawmills. Lumber yield from a log is 50–65% depending on diameter and cutting method. Accounted for in the LesEGAIS system. GOST 9463-2016. Larch roundwood is the most valuable raw material for premium lumber.
