Rye bran is a by-product of rye milling into flour. Contains 18–20% fiber, 11–13% protein, pentosans (arabinoxylans). Rich in B vitamins, iron, magnesium. For feed: a source of fiber for cattle and horses. For food: an additive in bread, porridge, dietary nutrition. Higher dietary fiber content than wheat bran. GOST 29710-91. Packaging: bags 25–50 kg. Bran consists of the outer shells of the grain, aleurone layer, and germ particles. Rich in fiber, B vitamins, minerals (iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium). Dietary fibers normalize gastrointestinal motility, reduce cholesterol levels, and slow glucose absorption. Feed bran is a cheap source of fiber and energy for cattle, pigs, horses. Food bran is a product for the healthy lifestyle segment. Storage: dry, ventilated warehouses, protection from pests. Shelf life: feed — 2–3 months (loose), 4–6 months (pelleted); food — 6–12 months.
