Rapeseed meal (expeller) is a feed product obtained by pressing rapeseed seeds. Protein content 30–36% DM, fat 8–12%. Well-balanced in amino acids. Modern '00' varieties with low glucosinolate and erucic acid content remove intake limitations. Effective for cattle — ruminants digest the fiber of rapeseed meal better than monogastrics. GOST 11048-95. Packaging: in bulk, big bags. The meal differs from solvent-extracted meal (rapeseed cake) in the production method: it is obtained by mechanical pressing of seeds (not solvent extraction). Contains more residual fat (7–12% vs 1–2%), which increases energy value but reduces shelf life (fats oxidize). Application: feed additive in rations for cattle, pigs, horses, poultry. Storage: dry, ventilated warehouses, temperature ≤25°C, shelf life 3–6 months (fats become rancid). Monitoring of self-heating required. Packaging: in bulk, 1-ton big bags, pelleted (8–12 mm).
