Rapeseed (Brassica napus) – oilseeds for the oil and fat industry. Oil content 40–48%. Rapeseed oil is the third largest produced oil in the world after palm and soybean oil. Modern '00' (double-zero) varieties have low erucic acid content (<2%). Protein 20–25%. Glucosinolates – up to 25 µmol/g (feed-safe level). Moisture up to 8%. Weed impurity up to 2%. GOST 10583-76. By-products of processing: rapeseed meal (protein 32–38%) and cake – valuable feed components. Regions: Central Black Earth Region, Volga region, Western Siberia. Processing: pressing + extraction → rapeseed oil (yield 38–42%) + meal (protein 32–38%). Rapeseed oil is valued for its fatty acid profile close to olive oil: oleic 60%, linoleic 20%, linolenic 10%. Smoke point 220°C – suitable for frying. High-oleic (HOLL) varieties – oleic acid up to 75%. Russia is expanding rapeseed cultivation: over 2 million hectares. Winter rapeseed yields 3–5 t/ha, spring rapeseed – 1.5–2.5 t/ha. Storage of oilseeds: elevators with active ventilation, temperature ≤25°C. Rapeseed is prone to self-heating – temperature control is critical. Storage moisture ≤7%. Export documentation: phytosanitary certificate, quality protocol, Non-GMO certificate (for EU). Shipment: grain trucks, hoppers, containers. Storage: dry ventilated warehouses, temperature and humidity control. Products undergo incoming quality control for each batch. Test reports from accredited laboratories.
