Polypropylene Homopolymer (PP-H, PP-H) is the world's second most consumed thermoplastic polymer by volume (after PE). Density 0.90 g/cm³ — lighter than water. Melting point 160–170°C. Chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, most solvents. Stiffness higher than PE. Grades differ by MFR (Melt Flow Rate): injection molding (MFR 10–30 g/10 min), extrusion (MFR 2–5), for fibers (MFR 25–35). Russia produces >2 million tons/year of PP. GOST 26996-86. Granules in 25 kg bags or big bags. PP homopolymer is a base polymer for modification: adding talc (20–40%) increases stiffness and heat resistance (auto components), glass fiber (20–30%) — strength and modulus of elasticity (engineering parts). Recycled PP (rPP) — sustainability trend. Storage: covered warehouses, UV protection. Granule shelf life 24 months. Manufacturers: SIBUR (Tobolsk-Polymer), Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Ufaorgsintez. Documentation: quality certificate, TDS.
