Plasticizers are chemical additives that impart elasticity, flexibility, and frost resistance to polymers (PVC, rubber, polyurethane). Mechanism of action: plasticizer molecules intercalate between polymer chains, weaken intermolecular interactions, and lower the glass transition temperature. DOP (Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, CAS 117-81-7) is the universal plasticizer No. 1 for PVC. Compatibility up to 80 phr per 100 phr of resin. Density 0.982–0.986 g/cm³ at 20°C. DOA (Di-2-ethylhexyl adipate) is frost-resistant down to −50°C, for arctic-grade cables and hoses. DOTP/DINP are next-generation non-phthalate plasticizers for food, medical, and children's products (REACH-compliant). GOST 8728-88. Packaging: 200 L drums, 1000 L IBC totes, tank trucks. When selecting a plasticizer, consider compatibility with the polymer, volatility, migration, operating temperature range, and food contact approvals. Storage: enclosed warehouses, temperature 5–35°C, away from oxidizers. Shelf life 12 months. Documentation: MSDS safety data sheet, certificate of conformity.
