Pine sawn timber (square/beam) is a massive lumber product with square or rectangular cross-section, width and thickness from 100 mm. Standard cross-sections: 100×100, 100×150, 150×150, 150×200, 200×200 mm. Length 3000–6000 mm. Pine timber is characterized by compressive strength of 40–50 MPa along the grain, good nail-holding capacity, and moderate modulus of elasticity. Natural pine resins enhance decay resistance and reduce the risk of fungal attack. Wood texture is pronounced, light yellow, with a difference between heartwood and sapwood. Low thermal conductivity: 0.15 W/(m·K), making it an effective structural material for timber frame construction. Applications: frame posts, wall plates (support for rafter systems), floor beams, floor joists, foundation sills, construction of saunas, baths, gazebos. Regulated by GOST 8486-86. Available kiln-dried (KD, moisture 12%) and air-dried. Harvesting regions: Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Irkutsk regions — northern pine with increased density. Packaging: bundles on spacers, strapped with steel/PET bands, shrink wrap. Shipment: railway platforms, 20/40 ft containers, road transport. Minimum order from 40 m³. Export documentation: phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin. Compared to glued laminated timber, sawn timber is 2–3 times cheaper but requires 5–8% shrinkage and antiseptic treatment. For temporary and utility buildings — optimal choice in terms of price/strength ratio.
