Medicinal plant raw materials (MPRM) are dried parts of wild-growing and cultivated plants used in the pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic industries. Russia possesses unique biodiversity: over 600 species of medicinal plants, with more than 150 being harvested industrially. The main types include: chamomile (flowers), peppermint (leaves), valerian (roots), motherwort (herb), St. John's wort (herb), rosehip (fruits), calendula (flowers), echinacea (roots and herb), licorice (roots), birch buds, pine buds, chaga (birch fungus).
