Polypropylene copolymer is a modified PP with improved impact resistance and frost resistance compared to the homopolymer. There are two types: block copolymer (PP-B) with ethylene blocks in the main chain, and random copolymer (PP-R) with a random distribution of ethylene. PP-B: impact strength at −20°C is 5–10 times higher than that of the homopolymer. It is used for car bumpers, boxes, and containers operating at low temperatures. PP-R: offers transparency, flexibility, and weldability. It is used for heating and hot water supply pipes (PPRC pipes) and transparent packaging. GOST 26996-86. Available in granules, 25 kg bags. PP-R for pipes: pressure calculation according to ISO 15874, SDR 6 / SDR 7.4 / SDR 11. PP-R100 is a new generation material with an MRS of 10 MPa (working pressure is 12% higher with the same diameter). Welding: polyfusion (socket) at 260°C. Granule storage: covered warehouses. Manufacturers: SIBUR, Borealis, LyondellBasell. Documentation: quality passport, TDS, certificate of conformity.
