It has undergone all stages: tanning, dyeing, fatliquoring, embossing (or left with natural grain — full grain), and finished with a topcoat of lacquer or wax. Types: nappa (soft, for garments and gloves), chevro (goatskin, for footwear), yuft (thick, for belts and bags), patent (with lacquer coating, for shoes and accessories). Thickness: 0.5–2.5 mm. Color: any according to Pantone catalog. GOST 939-88 'Leather for shoe uppers', GOST 1903-78 'Leather for garments'.
