Plasticizers are chemical additives that impart elasticity, flexibility, and frost resistance to polymers (PVC, rubber, polyurethane). The mechanism of action involves the plasticizer molecules embedding themselves between polymer chains, weakening intermolecular interactions and lowering the glass transition temperature. DOP (Di-octyl phthalate, CAS 117-81-7) is the number one universal plasticizer for PVC. Compatibility up to 80 parts per 100 parts of resin. Density 0.982–0.986 g/cm³ at 20°C. DOA (Di-octyl adipate) is frost resistant down to −50°C, suitable for cables and hoses designed for Arctic conditions. DOTP/DINP are phthalate-free next-generation plasticizers for food, medical, and children's products (REACH-compliant). GOST 8728-88. Packaging: 200-liter drums, 1000-liter IBC containers, tank trucks. When selecting a plasticizer, consider compatibility with the polymer, volatility, migration, operating temperature range, and allowances for food contact. Storage: closed warehouses, temperature 5–35°C, away from oxidizers. Shelf life 12 months. Documentation: MSDS safety data sheet, certificate of compliance.
