Vulcanization accelerators are additives that determine the rate and nature of sulfur cross-linking in rubber. The induction period (time before vulcanization begins) and optimal vulcanization time (t₉₀) are key processing parameters. Sulfenamides (CBS, TBBS) are the most common: a long induction period ensures safe processing (time before scorching). Thiurams (TMTD) are ultra-accelerators for sulfur-free vulcanization (light and colored rubbers, medical products). Thiazoles (MBT, MBTS) are fast accelerators for technical products. Applications: tires, rubber technical goods (RTI), conveyor belts, seals, footwear. GOST and TU standards. Packaging: 25 kg bags, big bags. Vulcanization system: accelerator + activator (ZnO + stearic acid) + sulfur. A semi-efficient system (CBS 1.5 + S 1.5) provides an optimal balance of strength and heat resistance. Storage: dry, dark warehouse, ≤25°C. Shelf life: 12–24 months. Manufacturers: Lanxess, Nocil, MLPC. Documentation: CoA, MSDS, TDS.
