Flaxseed cake is a by-product of pressing oilseed flax seeds. Protein 30–34% on a dry matter basis, fat 8–12%, Omega-3 fatty acids. Rich in mucilaginous substances — improves digestion in young animals. Application: compound feed for cattle, horses, calves. Flaxseed cake is traditionally used in fattening — gives wool a shine, improves hoof condition. GOST 10974-95. Packaging: 30 kg bags, big bags. Cake differs from meal in the production method: it is obtained by mechanical pressing of seeds (not solvent extraction). Contains more residual fat (7–12% vs 1–2%), which increases energy value but reduces shelf life (fats oxidize). Application: feed additive in rations for cattle, pigs, horses, poultry. Storage: dry ventilated warehouses, temperature ≤25°C, shelf life 3–6 months (fats become rancid). Control of self-heating. Packaging: in bulk, 1-ton big bags, pelleted (8–12 mm). Shipment: grain carriers, road transport. Documentation: veterinary certificate (FGIS "Mercury"), quality protocol.
