Film Faced Birch Plywood (Formwork)
Laminated Plywood (Film Faced Plywood, FOF) is birch FSF plywood coated with phenolic film (density 120–220 g/m²) on one or both sides. Surface: smooth (for concrete with smooth texture) or mesh (anti-slip). Primary purpose is reusable formwork in monolithic construction. Withstands 50+ concrete pouring cycles with proper use, including release agent and end sealing with paint. Thickness 18–21 mm. Film color: brown or black. Additional applications: van and vehicle flooring, sports grounds, exhibition structures. Complies with GOST 53920-2010. Lamination technology: birch FSF plywood → application of phenolic paper (impregnated with bakelite resin) → hot pressing at 140°C and 1.8 MPa → cooling → edge trimming → sealing ends with waterproof acrylic paint. Number of concrete pouring cycles depends on conditions: with release agent — 50–70 cycles; without — 15–25 cycles. Ends are the weak point: unprotected ends swell and delaminate in 3–5 cycles. Painting ends after each cut is recommended. Export documentation: phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin. Packaging: pallets, strapping tape. Shipping: containers. Main export markets: Middle East, North Africa, CIS.
