Drilling reagents are chemical compositions for the preparation and treatment of drilling fluids during the drilling of oil, gas, and exploration wells. The drilling fluid performs functions: cooling the drill bit, removing drilled cuttings (sludge), maintaining wellbore walls, and creating backpressure on the formation. Types: polymeric viscosity regulators (PAC, CMC), fluid loss reducers, clay swelling inhibitors (KCl, glycols), weighting agents (barite BaSO₄), lubricating additives. Packaging: 25 kg bags, 200 L drums, 1000 L IBC containers. The selection of drilling reagents is based on the engineering-geological conditions of the well: bottomhole temperature, pressure, type of rock formations, presence of clay intervals. Laboratory tests: API standards (viscosity, filtration, pH, density). Storage: dry warehouses (powders), heated (liquids - to prevent freezing). Documentation: API certificate, MSDS, TDS, quality protocol. Deliveries to drilling sites by road transport.
