Birch Plywood FK (Interior Grade)
Birch plywood grade FK is a multi-layer sheet material made from rotary-cut birch veneer, bonded with urea-formaldehyde resin. FK grade is moisture-resistant plywood for interior applications. Emission class E1 – safe for residential premises. Birch plywood surpasses coniferous plywood in strength by 20–30%: tensile strength ≥30 MPa, modulus of elasticity ≥7000 MPa, density 700–750 kg/m³. The multi-layer structure with perpendicular grain orientation ensures uniform strength in all directions. Format: 1525×1525 mm. Thickness: 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 18, 21 mm. Grades of face layers: I, II, III, IV – combined in pairs (e.g., 2/4). Sanding: Ш2 (both sides), Ш1 (one side), НШ (unsanded). GOST 3916.1-2018. Applications: subfloors, floor leveling under parquet, walls, partitions, furniture manufacturing (facades, frames), packaging. Russia is the world's largest producer of birch plywood. Production of FK plywood: rotary peeling of birch logs → veneer drying to 6–8% → sorting → application of urea glue → assembly of the layup (odd number of layers, perpendicular grain) → hot pressing at 120°C → trimming → sanding → sorting → marking. Perpendicular grain orientation in adjacent layers provides uniform strength in all directions – unlike solid wood, which is strong only along the grain. Russia is the world's largest producer of birch plywood (over 3.5 million m³/year). Export: Europe, China, Middle East, North America. Export documentation: phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, CE certificate (for Europe).
